Weather (temp and precip) permitting, LARC in the Park is planned for Saturday, October 10, at 11:30am

Mike Rudzki, N8MR, will be demonstrating amateur radio satellite communications, with focus on what can be done without costly or complex gear (such as AZ/ EL rotors). Mike will show a relatively simple equipment setup, as used to activate grid squares up north this past summer: Arrow antenna, Icom 7000 for uplink, SDRPlus for the downlink and a laptop running it all.
To line up with predicted flyover times by various satellites on Oct. 10, our get-together will start later than usual, at 11:30am, though Mike will be on-site earlier to set up.
Bien Park is located along Eckles Rd, south of Five Mile Rd.
COVID-19 precautions, face masks and distancing, are to be observed by all.
IF this event has to be cancelled, we will post that info on Facebook (@LivoniaARC), Twitter (@K8UNS) and announce on the K8UNS 2M repeater 145.350MHz.
FYI, here are Downlink (Receive) frequencies for the sats we hope to hear, maybe work.
The three FM birds are ones that an HT would be able to receive.
