LARC Membership Levels

The Livonia Amateur Radio Club offers several club membership levels. Membership options all last for 1 year, after which they must be renewed.

LARC Membership Levels

  • Full membership
  • Student Membership
  • Associate Membership (don’t need to be a licensed amateur radio operator for this level)

Full Membership

If you already have an FCC Amateur Radio license of any level (technician/general/extra), which also means that you already have an FCC assigned call sign, then you most likely want to sign up for this membership level.

The annual cost of a Full Membership with the LARC is $20 plus an additional $10 processing fee the very first time you sign up. That is, annual renewals of your membership do not incur the $10 processing fee. In addition to covering the cost of setting up your membership, the $10 processing fee also provides for giving you a club “badge” with your name and call sign.

Associate Membership

There are people who are not licensed amateur radio operators and/or do not have interest in becoming licensed, but because they are so enamored with the fine upstanding (and especially humble) people who make up the LARC they wish to be part of the club and its activities. This membership level is for such individuals, giving them access to all club benefits that do not require an Amateur Radio license.

The annual cost of an Associate Membership with the LARC is $20 plus an additional $10 processing fee the very first time you sign up. That is, annual renewals of your membership do not incur the $10 processing fee. In addition to covering the cost of setting up your membership, the $10 processing fee also provides for giving you a club “badge” with your name and call sign.

Student Membership

A LARC Student Membership conveys all of the rights and privileges of a Full Membership but at a reduced cost. The LARC understands that full time students can be cash bound so the club makes this category of membership available at a lower price.
