LARC in the Park 0930, Saturday, June 13 at Bien Park (after breakfast at Senate).
Program: Field Day orientation and preparation
Bien Park (Eckles Rd. S. of 5 Mile) is also the site of LARC’s ARRL Field Day operation on June 27 and 28, along with our partner Ford Amateur Radio League (FARL).
Many of our members and friends are new hams or might be new to this “al fresco” amateur radio operating fun. Some of you haven’t “done” FD in a while- time to give it a go again!

Our LitP program will demonstrate how we and FARL plan to set up antennas (Friday) and stations, operating practices, logging and making FD QSOs on SSB, CW and FT8. N8MR will give a go at satellite QSOs as well.
Join us for this session, as well as at the monthly club meeting on June 22, and, of course, on FD weekend as a participant.

Field Day is a public event, visitors welcome. It’s a great way to demonstrate ham radio and emergency preparedness to site visitors.
