August’s first attempt at the 2026 Homebrew Antenna Challenge was a bit of a bust, with very little participation. So, let’s give it another try on Saturday, October 10. Perfect WX is forecast.
Calling all MacGyvers! Let’s see how creative and clever we can be when we have to get on the air but don’t have access to a ready-made antenna. Teams will be given $20 and 1 hour to gather material for a UHF/VHF or HF antenna, and an hour to build it on-site at Bien Park. Basic tools will be provided, but nothing fancy. The first team to make a contact with a scratch built antenna on any band wins!
Meet up 9:30am at Bien Park (after Breakfast)
