Saturday, May 9, 9:30 AM, following weekly breakfast, meet up at Bien Park for some informative ham radio knowledge.
Our May topic is QRP (low power) equipment, antennas and operating.
Sometimes disparaged (the “life’s too short for QRP” crowd), low-power operating has come into much greater use with the rise in popularity of POTA (Parks on the Air), the needs of apartment and HOA-dwellers for “stealth” operating environments, and, just the fun and challenge of making QSOs with 20 or 5 watts or less.
If you want to learn something new, or, have experience and knowledge to share, you’re invited to join in. No RSVP or pre-registration is needed for our outdoor sessions. Non-members and new hams welcome!
Bien Park is located on Eckles Road, south of Five Mile Road. Map and general LitP info elsewhere at the club website.
