MICHIGAN QSO PARTY – Saturday April 18

Our annual participation in the MI QSO Party is Sat. April 18.
Operating from the Livonia PD EOC as N8LPD, 12 noon to 12 midnight.
(This constitutes our April “LARC in the Park” activity.)
A low key, leisurely operating event, state QSO parties are great for new operators to get a taste of CW and SSB contesting, and an opportunity for Technician licensees to dip a toe into HF beyond 2 Meter FM and limited 10M phone. MIQP is sponsored by Mad River Radio Club. More info on this long-running event and some downloads at MIQP.org  By the way, LARC/N8LPD has placed First in the EOC category for many years running.

So, WE NEED OPERATORS!
Sign up:
If you can come by and help out your club for a couple of hours, please let us know when, using the signup sheet on the LARC website’s MIQP page.

We’ll also need a hand putting up our antennas on the Police HQ building noon on Friday 4/17, and removing same on Sunday 4/19. Use the signup sheet for this as well.

NOTE: Our use of the Police Dept. facilities is restricted to valid, current LARC Members. The desk officer will have a copy of our 2026 Membership as a checklist for admission. Contact Bill Allen AD8WA if you have a question on your status or if adding a family member is OK.
