How should our club deal with situations like this? The Club Board is considering some ways we can handle inquiries from SK families, hams who want/need to re-home their gear, etc. Suggestions welcome.
Barring last minute plan changes, this has concluded. Thanks to everyone who was able to help out.

Original message:
Katie Nicholas, whose stepfather was K8YPU in Redford Twp, has asked if the LARC community can provide assistance to clear his QTH (near Telegraph/I-96 of a large and eclectic collection of ham gear, a tower, rotors and antennas (HF & VHF yagis), test bench gear, component parts (some for free) and more. Some genuine gems, from Drake, Henry, Heath, and more. There is a time crunch as they need to clear out the house and tower ASAP. Pointers and links to amateur estate sales or reliable sale sites/brokers would also be helpful, even if you yourself aren’t in a buying mood yourself.
