NWS Severe Weather Spotter training (in-person) Monday May 2

The Livonia Department of Emergency Management in conjunction with the National Weather Service will be conducting an in-person training session on Severe Weather Recognition and Reporting on Monday, May 2, 2022, 7PM at the Livonia Civic Center Library, 32777 Five Mile Road, main auditorium.

The Club is invited to participate.

Spotter training classes cover severe weather hazards including thunderstorms and tornadoes. This includes the general structure and movement of severe thunderstorms, identification of important storm features, and safety concerns.
All classes last about 75 to 90 minutes, and are free and open to the public.
Must be age 13 or older to report. However, classes are appropriate for all ages. Ages 10 and up will likely get the most out of the training.
